Hello everyone its great to be back on the FF(y)

My 2004 Punto 1.2 8v could do with some expert advise

What happens is when i start up from cold and it begins to warm up (temp gauge moves up about 3 or 4 notches), it will kangeroo at low revs, it will do it a few times until its reached normal temperature. It starts, drives well has the power expected and is smooth on accleration, just this kangerooing on the warm up phase. I have replaced the spark plugs, oil, and new HT leads, same thing. I have removed air filter and cleanedd out the TB, same. No warning lamps and MPG is amazing averaging around 46 city and urban driving. No misfires.

It has 24,000 miles genuine from 1 lady owner.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Forgot to mention:

Every so often (about once every 10 start ups) the revs will hunt on idle and will clear once a few revs are applied and it warms up.
No mayo under oil cap and coolant holds fine, i have done over 1000 miles no issues.

Odd....

So that phase where its swapping from open to closed loop sensor stuff its causing issues

I cant say i dont know what your on about cause i do a weird 1second phase sometimes which does odd things
Either off power it'll jolt, or it'll kangaroo, or miss once

Im going on the route of its a sensor either giving a dodgey reading causing it to mess the fueling up

For example the temp sensor could be saying colder then it actually is meaning its running richer then it needs to be

Ziggy
