Hi all.

fiat punto mk2b 2004 1.2 active sport

i've swapped out a dead engine and replaced with a working one.
hooked it all up and starts first turn of the key, problem is it revs to max full throttle with out any pressure on the pedal.

ive swapped out the throttle body - no change
ive checked all hoses - all on
checked cable to throttle - adjusting the cable position makes no difference..

any help appreciated

Has to be getting air somewhere and if the throttle plate is closed that leaves inlet manifold leaking, brake servo hose disconnected and probably some more I can't think of right now.
Are you running with the air filter off and can you see if the throttle is opening.

Check inlet manifold gasket and make sure it's tight enough
