Can I put in a battery from a golf such as this one

The main problem would be fitting it in the battery tray. From what i can see should work ok

You'd need to ensure the terminals are of the same orientation and that the battery would physically fit the tray, if that's all ok then yes it should fit.

Not all batteries are created equal, and it's worth noting an old battery from a golf may start and run the car but might not have the omph to power the power steering

To be sure we would need to know what engine (or battery number) is in your Punto. Size 012 is a common fitment
Electrically there is no issue. The 075 is longer than the 012, but not as tall and the terminals are the right way round so there is a good chance it will fit. You might need a block of wood under the clamp to hold it down. A loose battery is dangerous and an MOT fail.
