Hey again. My punto have problem with idling. Engine goes crazy. What's wrong? Tester says that my car doesn't have errors

Yes I did this a couple months ago

I left work about hour ago and car work perfectly and when I came home I again connect to obd but he said "no faulty codes". But this is really stupid because in the morning everybody looked to my car when he making strange noise and I filming him and now he works perfectly.

Yesterday he's been doing the same thing when I waiting for train to go across the road but I press gas pedal to 3k rpm for while and then release pedal and idle rpm goes to normal.

when you cleaned throttle body few months ago was it fine afterwards?

Mine does this once every so often

I put it down to a sticking idle control valve

If I could get mine out - id love to clean its channels and where you nornally cant reach

I also hate this throttle body, precisely because is idle control valve sticked in body and If that IAC die you need change all body.

Ziggy122 you have the same problem than I am? Do you replace any parts? Do you have any engine light in your counter?

That is what mine does from time to time

It doesn't affect the car running in any other way except on start up on random mornings
NO EML's
Just the idle is hunting, a quick rev up and normally it'll settle

sometimes it improves but no 100%

Tbh mines probably ready for replacement

You can get it out. Even without breaking it. I just disassembled a spare TB from eBay, as I need to have it bored.

Remove TB, clamp the TPS in a vice and lightly twist from side to side, whilst pulling. It'll come out. Same procedure for the idle control valve - clamp twist and pull

Happens on mine from time to time, quick blip of the throttle clears it and it's generally fine for several weeks after that so it doesnt bother me. seems to be a common problem though from posts i've seen on here

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one with this problem. But we must repair this idle problem but in my case I don't know where to begin

Faint
Not sure if its a little bit of knock
Or a starting rattle heatshield
