The driver side seal is really worn of my MK2 punto. I can only seem to find door seals on ebay. Where can i find one? and how would i fit? does it require adhesive. Thanks

ok thanks for the advice. Just trying to patch up a few minor cosmetic things thought this may have been worth it.

Mine has got holes in both sites, turning 10 years in October.. It also seems that the rear lower corner of the front door comes slightly in contact with the front lower corner of the rear door upon closing - so it must have to do with the adjustment..

My passenger one came half off a few weeks again mine seems to be in the same condition as the op. no leaks and the door shuts as it should. Don't worry about it ;)

Door/roof seal problems on Punto mk2 always prevail, most common main dealer fix was to send to cars to the body shop for door adjustment, new seals cost hundreds, although I like things to be right and am considering new replacements. Adhesives shouldn't be necessary, although not the easiest to remove, care & patience required.

The roof seal's are fairly easy to change.(20 mins)
to get a good one..best bet is a Trawl round the scrapyards
if you buy one off the www. chances are it will get posted out folded up
due to its length..and it will be a mare to straighten out..

to remove..you start from the back gently lift it up and pull it up working your way to the drivers door,
in the corner its held in place with a plastic clip..no silicone.
a piece of it like a flap goes under the plastic scuttle trim..your supposed to remove the wiper arms and the trim to refit..but its do able withouht.

They always wear out in the corner as its a tight fit..if it wasn't you wouid get drafts and wind noise..

to refit..work from the back..it wont go in flat..you have to slot it in on an angle like this > / then push it down.
