Hi, I have a 2001 MK2 Punto and the rubber button for the remote locking has worn off. I want to find an empty key shell for it so i can simply swap the good face over with the rubber button onto the old key.

However, i have struggled to find one. I ordered one from ebay but it doesnt quite fit! any pointers please?

do you mean super glue the rubber button? or in fact the whole side of that case? i can only seem to find empty key shells for 2004 punto (i think its the bravo).

I bought a new button for my remote a couple of years back from eBay Italy, I'm sure you can still get them.

The problem with buying a new she'll is most on eBay are not original part so you'd need to replace front and back, the key blade is fused/moulded into the shell so you'd need a new key blade cut, then you'd need to swap over the imobiliser chip and remote over and the chip speciffically risks getting broken when you start swapping them.

Much more sensible if you can to just buy a new button

Yeah that was my concern. I'll have a better look for a button thanks!
