Hi,
So, Pablo the Y reg Punto is poorly, bless. The engine management light is flashing, but I have felt no loss in power he drives just the same as before. I had to replace the master clutch cylinder and it was once we fired Pablo up after replacing it that the light started flashing. So have we knocked the lambda sensor? or just sods law timing? Like I said, I feel no loss in power, he's still a lovely nippy car. He's due his MOT on Friday and I'll be damned if he fails again!!! (failed last time on a hole in the drivers seat mount)

I have no idea really when it comes to car, all i know is i get ripped off once a month at the petrol station and he goes. :D

When I got him, nearly 2 years ago, they had just redone the cam belt, gear box mount (pass....) and new tyres. he's only got 49k on the clock! He's my first car so I would hate to replace him so soon, if anyone has any ideas I would be really greatful. Also, would it be worth me buying one of those diagnostic machines?

Wait? Nobody's been messing around with the phlonic wheel learn seetings have they?

Since it takes 10mins, its practially free todo - its worth a punt (o)

Following this procedure wont affect the car, if its not the phlonic wheel relearn

1. Idle till 1/2 way on temp gauge or when fan kicks in if you don't have one
2. Rev up to 5,000rpm hold for 3 seconds
3. Let it drop down to idle
4. Rev to 5,000rpm hold for 3 seconds
5. Drop to idle
6. Rev to 5,000rpm hold for 3 seconds
7. Drop to idle

ziggy
