Hey, I've googled around before asking this. I got my MK2 punto recently and I love it. A few weeks after I found that with the handbrake up getting in the car forcefully would make a creaking noise is the only way to describe it. It's hard to describe though. It would do it when reversing and then going forward and on large potholes. found out that the rear brakes needed fixing so fixed those and a seal. Then it stopped but it's recently started again and I thought it would be the track control arm or bushing but it's a beam axel so I don't know. Any thoughts would be much appreciated :)

Is it hard to replace the rear beam axel bushing?

Could be several things...
If you think a bush is creaking badly - and it looks ok - give it a spray of wd40 and see if it helps. That is a good way to fault find. If the noise goes - there is your culprit. Sometimes if the bush is ok, a mixture of waxoyl and parrafin on the bushing can help
also. -
Take a look at the rear springs - on the top, there shoud be a 'rubber' pad between the spring and the body.
These have a habit of failing - and dissapearing. - while you are at it, check the bump stops, these fail very quickly - they wont cause your problem - but change at the same time - they are cheap. The top rubber buffers should be there - if not - they can cause a horrible noise.
