After waiting for the last few moments searching for a punto finally came across this gem. Here it goes;
Fiat Punto elx 5dr 2000. 95800miles. Nct (mot) 2 weeks ago.

No mods as of yet maybe cc the mirrors, sporting alloys and that's about it. Want to keep it original as its my first car and she's a 5 door.

Main plans;

Good full valet if I can get a good day.
Change door speakers (passenger speaker crackling)
Fit rear passenger door (dented)
Sort out a few parking dents in time.
New CD player.
New ariel.

Will try post pics tomorrow or whenever this crap weather holds.

Just interested to hear people's views/ advice on it.

First car feeling.............almost as good as .................. a nice long walk ;)

Put these on your list as well.
Check out the front of the sump for rust and paint it.
Take off the rear light clusters, open the plug and clean it with contact cleaner and check the black wire for overheating.
Lubricate the exposed part of the bonnet release cable and the lock mechanism.
Check the coolant level every single week without fail. If it's disappearing find out why.
If the temperature needle is not staying at halfway after a few miles ask questions here.
Poke out the rubber drain tubes in the wiper scuttle every six months especially if you park near trees.

A clean NCT does not mean your brakes are OK. Inspect them for pad and disc wear. I don't want to rain on your parade but make sure all serviceable items are ok before throwing cash at mods and cosmetic stuff.

I have to agree with every single thing there as well

NCT / MOT mean nothing to a degree, brake pads could be getting low but pass
Handbrake may only just scrape through on working efficiency etc

Thanks guys for the replies will take everything on board. Fully serviced before Christmas. Had a look underneath and she's very acceptable no rust from what I can see. Brake pads and handbrake cable were done also as part of the service ;)

This is more for another member who asked me to post pics of my leather seat covers but you guys may as well get a sneak peek before I give it a good long clean next week.
