Need some help with the fuel filler pipe. The one on my 5 door car is split where the locking cap is so that the whole pipe can move when you fill up the car, ie it's not now connected to the filler door end, there is a crack all the way around the round pipe end.
My question is: is the filler pipe the same on the 3 door and 5 door versions of the Mk2 car?

filler pipe is same in 3 or 5 door, it is hold on to a tank with jubilee clip, be careful with those 4 screws as they are all rusted and you will just round them up

My 4 screws didnt snap but actually snapped the p-clips behind them.....
That was some task to get them out

I had to grind then down to leave studs and allowing it to be pulled free
