My poor punto has taken a bashing to the rear

Can anybody give me a part code for the sporting (active sport) rear bumper?

As its got massive stress marks
1 easily repairable crack
but the other follows a complex route

So it'd be much easier to replace it and respray

Found them on google and they dont have the active sport / sporting bumpers....

So there no good

Trawel ebay for the cars breaking, I mashed my back bumper the other day (my own fault) fortunately seems to be mostly paint, and shattered the reflector, will wait till summer to sort it rather than subject new paint work to rough winter conditions

How bad is it? could it not be plastic welded and re sprayed?
could always look on ebay for a second hand one and there is a possibility you could get one in broom yellow then

Euro car parts do aftermarket bumpers I believe

plastic welding isn't going to be an option tbh, as its in a akward position to repair the damage
its affecting how the trim sits and alsorts, 4 places have said as well its bent the plastic underneath, so its not worth repairing

new it is

They do - but typical ECP is they dont have images of it! so it could be the active style

Will never use Punto-r-us again, dunno about the other 2

However since its been to 4 bodyshops, and they are all saying around the 750£ - £1000 mark because its
1x new bumper
2x New trims
1x New impact foam
1x respray setup
1x New plate surround

apprently broom yellow is an awful colour to match, as it has apprently 3 base layers to make it work?

its an easy colour to work with,

any decent body shop shouid be able to spray one for you..with no problems,

its the fade tho i've got an issue with

As they have been redone in the past, and have dyed/faded in the sun in the last 2 years

all broom yellow'd plastic's seem to fade,

he might know where you can get a bumper from,

I just hope that it doesn't get written off as there is potential for it to be done so

If so i'll be saving the car from the crushers thats for sure! i'll keep it and repair it later in its life

955 one place quoted for the repair,
Thats like 2/3rd the cars value.....

They are having to replace the rear bumper - the rear impact foams - trims the whole lot really

I don't know where you are ziggy but spotted this

You can get all the bits you need then sort out a cheap body shop to make it yellow

Go to newvehicleparts.co.uk they sell all the panels ,might be worth a look

I personally wouldnt go to Punto Spares . com.

A good friend is having some real issues with a cylinder head hes bought off them via Ebay !

Sell the parts, wash your hands off it when it goes wrong !
