I want to fit a fiat uno 14 turbo on a fiat punto mk2 is it possibile? are the mountings in the same places?

Uno 1.4 turbo is probably the same as the mk1 1.4 turbo

I've seen 1 car on ebay with the 1.4 turbo, i dont think it was a straight in bolt up job

Other issue is - the mk2 is fully electrical ignition and injection and everything
Where as the mk1 and uno's werent fully done so

It wont just "bolt in"
it wont just ""wire up""
It wont be as easy to get insurance, tax and MOT
Is it worth it?
probably not
Since the 1.4 engine in the mk2b would probably be a hella lot easier

Are they turbo ? I want a engine with turbo my problem is this. I modifed my punto with widebodykit and putted on 19 inch rims. I have abojt u0 killox of sound in the car and the car is to lazy know insirince not a prob in malta. I just want a good engine i mean are the mountings in the same places ? I know it wont be a strait in and i know. About the wireing to

id seriously dowt the mountings are even close
As the mk2 was a different chassis to the mk1

So i dont think the current engine mounts will be suitable
You'll need to get creative and carefully plan it

You idearly need to see the 2 side by side

T Jet might be easier.

There are lots of bigger engines that will fit (with lots of effort). You might even consider turboing what you have, but I suspect that it'll not handle. Probably best to crawl along like the best fashionistas.

Incidentally the Uno 1.4 turbo was never a FIRE engine. It's a Lampredi engine of a previous generation.

Anything is possible you just need to throw enough money at it

The uno turbo was 118hp in a car weighing as much as a paper bag

The mk2 is a lot heavier and you can just buy a 130bhp HGT with no turbo to lag

I cant lut hgt engine becouse of the laws here u can all u can upgrade is 2 hp max on a engine ..... Thats mypoint of doing a uno or a mk1 turbo engine what do you think are the mountings close as thepunto mk2 mounting?

Didnt fiat uno. Come out fro. The factory with that engine ? If i turbo what ihaveit comes more expensive the. Fitting a engine here

The engine is comolete with gear box ecu e r original of the uno. I have 12 16 atm but the car is toazy with the mods i dkid on it so im fitting a uno engin there the same as the punto gt mk1 as far as i know. But is it possible to fit it. Are the mountings in the same places? I knkw its not be strait in tne same mountings some mods needs to be done buy are the mountings close to the punto mk2 mountings

I dont want it for speed i just want it t drive normal i want to change the engi e coz i modofied the car body i did a widebody kit 19 inch rims. And i have abojt 7o killos of sou d in the ca is to lazy to drive so i want a turbo engine so the car wont be lazy here in malta to fit a engine not that expensive to mod a engine is alot expensive here

I'm fairly sure the uno engine isn't going to be a simple bolt in job with all the engine mounts nicely lined up, what ever you fit you'll likely need to modify you exsisting engine mounts or even make something entirely new lots of electronics in a modern punto compared to an old uno also means that lots of tinkering with electronics to get your instruments on the dash working properly

If you have a t-jet engine then you'll need the ecu with body computer and coded keys or someone who can program out the immobaliser from the engine ecu, this is likely to be very costly and again the punto dash won't be compatible with the much newer engine ecu

Bolting the engine in is likely to be the easy bit, getting it running and getting all the instrumentation running is the main hurdle

What engine u think is better the uno/punto engine or the t jet engin i think the punto/gt engine is better and what do you think is easier to fit the t jet or uno. And the body ecu. Of a punto. Mk2 doesint. Match with the engine ecu of a t jet?

Cheaper, tougher, potentially more tuneable engine (the Uno Turbo) -- in Greece folk have had nearly 400bhp out of them. But hard to find decent ones, today.

Personally I'd keep the engine in a Uno GT, but........
I one one on my hands tomorrow im going to see it he hes the gearbox hatness sjafts ecu and the engine plus he hes. Forged pustons and rods new sealed and new. Rings ect..... All for 900 euro u thinm its easier to fit then a t jet?
