this car ?
it did a little better than 12 to the gallon but not much lol
Used to get 26 out of my Isuzu 3.1D. Or are we talking about the RR engine...?
mine was silver, (manual box)
handbrake turns = snapped prop shafts, not much fun realy. other than some weekend Greenlaning
at the risk of getting off topic and hijacking someone else's thread
the gearing on the range rover is quite low so top speeds of just over 70 with the 3.1D
i think the best i ever managed was 22mpg but most of the time running round town it was high teens
did you ever watch the MOT man do the handbrake efficiency test
Would these not fit?

They fit the golf so shouldn't be a bad fit on the punto.
I've found on ebay a set that are made for a corsa B they are very similar but are only £15 Do you reckon these would fit?Sorry Russ I misread the Ebay Advert however you can get them here for a very reasonable €30 or google a company called Vom Bonrath who make the more expensive set,
most of these kits need no drilling you simply take a bolt out that holds the front wing and replace it with a ball joint for one end, and then 1 bonnet hinge bolt for the other end
very simple and really smarten up the look of the engine bay
