I've already started on one of my mods.. However, i went for the cheaper option to see how it looked. I've brought some Abarth centre cap stickers. They don't look right, but I'm sure I'd get used to it.. I brought stickers to see how they looked rather than spend a good extra £15 on proper

I think the standard ones look better with your paint colour. They seen to suit black and red cars alot better.

when mixing colours up for a colour scheme "mod" you really do have to get the colours right otherwise it'll look horrid and tacky, and in this case red and blue doesn't really go well imho so i'd revert back to the originals to match the colour of the car.

its usually trial and error when doing these sort of mods, its like a black car you can pretty much go wild on colour like black and red, black and green, black and blue and so forth, that said, if you like it then keep it like it but from another persons perspective e.g. mine it don't look right. but then that's opinion take it or ignore it. I've changed my valve caps again.. Part of my Abarth scheme going on with my car. I did have the Fiat ones on before, but I decided that a change was in order... and only £3 spared! Not bad for how it makes the car look.

The second little thing I've done to my Punto is to the engine bay.. Once again it's along my Abarth scheme. I've been really interested in the Punto Abarth Evo recently and I decided to make my engine bay look abit more 'Abarthy'... So I've added a red Abarth Scorpion emblem on the air box and a smaller silver Abarth Scorpion emblem on the fuse box. I plan to put the Abarth lettering along the lower part of the air box under the emblem. I also want to change my HT leads and washer bottle pipes to red or blue ones.

Any thoughts?
Rhys

Finally got round to doing a mod that I've been wanting to do for a long time! Debadging the sides badges...

I brought some Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover from Halfords, on £4.99... I wielded my hair dryer and fishing wire and got to it!

I gently heated the area with hair dryer until you could lift the letters with your fingernail, then (with the help of my glamorous assistant; my girlfriend ;) ) I slid the fishing wire behind the letters and did a kind of sawing action from left to right, until the letters fell away. I then followed the instructions on the back of spray; spray 15-18cm away from the surface and leave to soak for a minute. I then set to work with a cloth and a good scrubbing! I repeated the spraying until the whole glue mark was gone, then just buffed off the solution to leave a shiny and clean finish!

Overall I'm chuffed with the result, it leaves a really smooth and clean looking Punto. It took me about 10 minutes a side and barely any elbow grease!

See pictures below... (Photography was mainly by my girlfriend!)

Another mod to tick off my list! The Abarth boot lid badge.

First of all, it was a PAIN to get the old worn out Fiat badge off! Once the badge was off, it was the even harder job of getting off the sticky residue...

Once that was done it was just the simple task of peeling off the backing on the Abarth badge, and sticking it on straight and central!

Overall I am chuffed with how it looks. I was surprised at how well it went with my car. Also it makes my car look more modern and youthful.

Pictures to follow, see what you his think!

Well.. I did order a badgeless grill from body-kit.com, but then yesterday I got an email saying I had been given a refund.. I couldn't believe it! I was looking forward to my badgeless grill so I didn't have a Fiat badge on the front and an Abarth badge on the back.

So I've emailed the company to see why I got a refund!

Probably no stock and not interested in getting more since the mk2 is dying off alot and the mk2b isnt overly far behind

go to every scrappy and you will see a mk2 in there or a ton :D i know a scrappy about an hours drive from me has quite a few mk2bs in there even the odd grande punto. so yeah, as ziggy wiggy said they are dying out, only people who will have a mk2/2b are usually enthusiasts or people who like a budget car
