Hi i have been trying to reset my airbag light on my 8V MK2 Punto 51 Plate. I have purchased this cable : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171175321531?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

And these adapters : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MultiECUS...iagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item2a3bc4f469

When i connect to MultiEcuScan It doesnt allow me to connect to my airbag. I have tried all 3 airbags that are available for my car but it wont connect to any of them.

I have included pictures of my cable setup and port settings. Ive also included a picture of the message i recieve.

I did test the interface when i connected the cable and it all seemed to be ok. But just couldnt connect to anything.

Please Help

turn mes off
turn ignition off
remove all cables

connect all cables
turn mes on
turn ignition on
go to settings on mes and try more than 1 com setting for the kkl cable
now let it find it
once found make sure the baud? rate is right by it sending bits of information by your bits button

you have 1.7 and i use an earlier version than this because i seem to get your problem too on these older cars

sorry cant help much more but i would suggest keep trying as mes can really be infuriating at times to the point i could sometimes smash it

Hi thanks for the reply i have tried again but im still getting the exact same message.

Would that be the best thing to try?

You won't be able to connect to the engine with the red adapter. This is worth a try because it will confirm if the problem lies in the KKL adapter or the red cable. If you can connect to the engine ECU fine, then I would be looking at the red cable with much suspicion. If you're anywhere near Stoke I'd happily plug my gear in for you, since I know that works.

Hi thanks for the help. I will try connecting without the adapter. Thanks i will update asap
