I presume you are miles away from me or I'd buy it for bits for my lad's Punto. Scrapmycar.com seem to offer reasonable prices compared to breakers.

I'm not sticking up for breakers because, like car salesmen, they'd all sell their granny for dogmeat, but the yards round here are full of Puntos' so they won't pay over the odds for one. Granted, 2B's are in short supply.

Isn't this the part where if Sir's preferred option is to have them collect they have a £115 collection fee.
A nicely worded ad - too good to scrap, decent engine and box, ideal for parts or project yada yada- could see you laughing at the breakers.
Why are you scrapping btw?

well upto now ive had estimates of 85-100 notes for it
pretty pethetic really.

iwill just roll the punto into the trees at bottom of garden and leave it there
one day a good punto might turn up needing anew gear box
so its there for a rainy day.

out of sight out of mind as they say. :D

needs new front bumper/backbox
steering is faulty-steering works as normal but light comes on as soon as wheel is turned.
passenger door as evidence of previously vandalism/bent back
Tax n Test is almost up so for what it wouid cost to repair its not worth it
only good thing is its clean underneath not a rot box.

I've just sent you a private message about your punto. Look forward to your reply

I'd break it just for the experience, assuming you've got space to store the parts. You can learn an awful lot taking something apart with no concern about putting it back together again. Clean up all the parts as best you can and take photos of them, advertising the parts individually (hey, it's free to do so on this forum). It's less hassle for a buyer to just purchase the part rather than having to enquire if you still have X part on the car you're breaking. If after a year you still have bits left, put them in an online auction with no reserve but accurate postage costs just to get rid.

cheers for the idea.

ive broke up puntos before..trouble is you end up stuck with aload of parts that just take up space.
everytime igo in the garage i trip over a peice of punto there is only so many shelves you can put up...no room

ive more or less give parts away in the past just to get rid.
