I was driving round today doing a few bits, the weather being totally horrible. Ended up driving through a large puddle, about 100 yards after that the car felt like it was loosing power and my engine warning light came on. I eased off, on approach to a junction, but had no where to pull in. Once setting off it was jerky, then at the next roundabout i over revved slightly and the light had gone off and the car felt normal again, and continued to feel normal all the way home.
Since then about an hour later i had to pop to a shop, and again there was no issues and the car felt perfectly fine.
My only concern is that only doing 40miles through the day it has taken just under less and a quarter of a tank of fuel, but at time time I usually do more distant driving as apposed to city driving, so that could be a factor to the consumption.
Should i be concerned, or could it have been a minor hiccup because it was a very large puddle?
