I have a Fiat Punto 1.2 2004 MK2 and the power steering keeps cutting off whilst I'm driving. One minute it will be fine, then the next it will cut off and be really heavy. Any idea on how I can stop this from happening?

iwouid check the condition of the battery (have battery checked)
also check earth straps

is there any other electrical gremlins with the car ?
