Hi, does anybody have or know where I can find a wiring diagram for a mk2 electric windows system? My drivers window isn't working and is driving me crazy!!!

What have you tried what havent you tried or checked


Personally id check f47 & f 48 (20amp) fuses first
The relay 13 (windows and sunroof)
If the power is all good then into the door and test for 12v at plug

If both have stopped working i suspect a dead relay

I have checked the fuses, relay, motor, switch, wiring from the door to body. For the time being I have swapped the wires from the passenger surply to the drivers. The drivers side now works from the passenger switch which isn't ideal but the drivers window is more important. I want a wiring diagram because the wires go all over the place, up and under the dash along both inner door seals by the seats. :bang:

I have a constant earth to the drivers door motor on the purple and black stripped wire, but I have nothing to the switchable live (solid purple wire)

N60 and N61 are the window motors. N61 is drivers side.

R13 is the relay

The signals for the right window motor leave pins 5 and 6 from the control unit H90. Pins 2 and 8 are earth.

where about's is the control unit located please?

H90 in my diagram is the back of the window switch unit (ie the unit with city, window switches, fogs etc)

M1 and B1 are rear of the fuse box by drivers right knee.
