Hi Guys

After many years of great service we have decided to retire our Fiat Punto Mk2 2001.

Before getting it scrapped I was thinking of removing the most valuable parts to sell on ebay. These would have to be pretty easy to remove. I was thinking the ECU/power steering motor and perhaps the Radiator Cooling Fan.

Does anyone have any suggestions for parts that are worth removing?

Thanks!

Leon

Manifold and cat if in good condition, could easily sell for £50+ cylinder head, if your confident enough to remove it can be worth £100 if not cracked.

Myriad problems with the car including general electrical failures/all 4 tyres needing replacing etc and we just decided it wasn't worth putting it in for its MOT.

Will be sad to see it go!

Fair enough. When everything crops up at once, like that, it's really tough. :(

I wish you luck with both breaking it, and finding a replacement. (y)

By the way: if you want to get a good idea of what bits sell, and for what price, have a look at eBay (if you haven't already...). Panels and bumpers always seem pretty popular; and even things like the speedo, lights and mirrors may sell, if in good enough nick... -- as will the interior: seats and door panels.

What would i sell

the Whole brain system for the car
So Engine ECU/Fusebox/ Key sets/ locks (inc fuel boot airbag ignition etc etc) etc

The Interior + door card set if there in good nick

centre Sporting consoles are aways a wanted item

Bumpers and lights :)
Rear lights go cheap because there are loads out there, a bargain for somebody, some money in your pocket tho if you play it right

Rims - They will sell if there cheap - again plenty out there
Somebody may be after a winter tyre setup - cheap okay steel rims are wanted :)

Im currently waiting for some toyota yaris 14" to come up :) for example, to fit to mrs c1 :)

If you've got offroad space.
Iwouid just advertise it as a breaker and let people come to you and take off there own parts.
This saves posting, saves getting your hands dirty and saves having piles of bits of car being under your own feet.

What colour is it? Im after yellow front and rear bumpers, good condition interior and a aerial base.

Yeah id suggest advertising it on here and get things off for people as and when. Everything will go eventually.
