I'd been watching it closely (which is why I hadn't shared either) was thinking about a bid on the way into work this morning but decided in the grand scheme of things I really don't have the time or inclination to mess about breaking it or repairing it nor do I currently have the facilities to do it.
the tyres were getting near the limit, the damage was too extensive the wiring to the back lights needed cutting out and replacing so although i'd spent a lot on it, it was time to part ways.
Plus whoever bought it has no service history or spare key
its seems that Cat D cars don't sell very well and although they maybe worth a bob or two in scrap and parts generally breaking cars is a messy time consuming business and many people don't have the space to do it. what I might do is keep a look out for a punto with the wheels i want swap mine and flog whats left of the car on ebay
