Hey guys not 100% sure if i should be posting in this area. But i just really dont want to put the FIAT punto sporting alloys on my car. I drive a 1.2 mk2 punto, has anyone got any alternatives?:yum:
What is everyones favourite alloys at the moment?

Hey man,

To be honest, if you want alloys from other makes (BMW, Audi, so on and so forth), most of them would require you get loadsssssss of stuff! Spigot rings, 'wobbly' nuts and spacers. BUT, if you got the time and some moneys, then it shouldn't be too hard (y)

As for the favourite alloys... BBS for me. :yum: Just I can't afford them! :p

Hi thanks for your input, im looking at 15" team dynamics jet RS wheels http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/15_Inch_Team_Dynamics_Jet_RS_Alloy_Wheels__2266 i really like these but im not sure about fitting them on my punto any idea?

Those are some nice wheels mate! I'm more of a white alloys type of person but everyone has their own preferences! :)
When I first got my Punto MK1 it had simple stock steelies which were 13"s, then I've bought a set of 14"s off a Bravo and fitted them that day, so no extra bits n' bobs :p In my opinion with 15"s you'll have to widen the wheel arch and will only manage to lower your car by a little bit (remember I'm talking MK1s here!). Unless you get the tyres that go over the rim (so fatter), but the are legal issues there, only the stocked, 'normal' tyres will pass a MOT.
But hey! No pain, no gain! Firstly I would try any 15"s (even if you could borrow them from a mate or something) and then if all is good, then get the ones you want :)
Hope this helps mate :)

right thanks that does help a lot! saves me wasting money, if i got those wheels in 14" would they fit better?

Haha, no problemo amigo! (y)

In theory, yes :) If you can find out the PCD, Offset, and the Centre Bore of the wheels as well as your own, this website might be of help :yum:

Hope this helps mate :D

Turns out those alloys are not available in 14" haha, so thats that out the window 15 is the smallest im guessing the pcd offset and centre bore is the ../../.. numbers?
If so it is 195/50/15 for the team dynamics :) i will have a look at that website
on that website it says Possible tyre size and it mentions "195/50R16 not 100% sure what that means?
Have to edit this because that is all wrong hah! on punto PCD is 4x98 and Centre Bore is 58.1 and offset is 35. all i can find is an offset of 38 for dynamics and PCD 8x100 cant find a centre bore

195/50/R15 refers to the tyre only. The tyre being a 195mm wide, with a profile 50% of the width to fit a 15" wheel.
PCD is expressed like 4x100 (4 holes on a 100mm circle), 5x108 (5 holes on a 108mm circle), etc. You want 4x98. Offset is expressed as ET, ie ET35 (mating face of the wheel is 35mm from centre). Centre bore should be expressed exactly like that, you need 58.1mm. Bigger is acceptable for aftermarket wheels and can easily be 'fixed' with spigot rings.

Was about to post that same exact thing, looks like someone beaten me! (y)
But yeah, exactly what Eklipze3k said :)

Thanks that has explained a hell of a lot! i dont know how to give you a thank on a post but i would like to haha! right well if the offset has a difference of 3 what would that mean for fitting and also the PCD for a punto is 4x98 where as the dynamics are 8x100 so i know i can leave some holes on the dynamics without bolts but what does the difference between 98 and 100 mean for fitting? :worship:

Well firstly, they won't be 8x100. They'll be 4x100 and 4x108, allowing them to fit hundreds of different vehicles. To fit them to a Fiat, you'll need PCD correction bolts (or wobblies as some people call them). If the offset is only 3mm out then you should be OK, but if you can't get the offset exact though you want to make sure it's bigger than standard so that it can be corrected with spacers.

Haha I used to know how to 'thank' someone on here but I forgot! :p Ma bad!
An offet with a difference of 3 shouldn't matter in theory, and as for PCD there is a lean way of around 3-5mm each way, so 95mm through to 105mm SHOULD be okay :)

Oh right on the website i was looking to buy them from it said 8x100 hmm. Well thanks a lot for your help i will study more into it and make a decision on it.(y)
