Hi

When buying the car, the previous owner left thier Ripspeed CD/DVD player in the car and recently it wont read cd's :(

ive read in the manual that you are able to connect either a USB or AUX lead into the back of the player to use your phone or Ipod.

I have pulled out the CD player but cannot see this anywhere, its supposed to be in the back but the cd player is in a metal case of some sort and wont let me access it... how do i go about this??

also where could i feed the aux lead as its in the back and there is no room for it to come out of the front?

Thanks for your help on this

I had this problem too when I had a Ripspeed DVD player in the car, all you need to buy is a rear RCA aux input cable fit that it's about 3.5mm then you could listen to your ipod via car speakers.

BTW Halfords is your best bet to get this cable!

Hope that helps.

thanks for the advice, i already have the lead... but i cant see where i can run it as there is no room... where did you run your wire to??

I don't know about anyone else but I ran mine to just under the ashtray/ behind cup holders like so:

I fed the cable down the left side towards glove box. Get under glove box with a torch (bit cramped). Find the 3.5mm jack. With a bit of fishing and maybe some long nose pliers you should be able to grab it. I then removed the kick plates, undid the centre console and pulled it forward whilst I fed the jack through. Once its through, put everything back and the cable is completely hidden (y)

It will feed into the ashtray, however the ashtray won't close fully, ie won't sit flush with the rest of the console
