Symptoms :bang::

- At the point where the clutch disengages to the engine there is a small judder, not severe but easily noticeable. I am giving the car enough acceleration and have even tried over revving to see if this sorts it and im just driving bad but it still does it.

- Gear stick suddenly got stiff, took a good push to put it into first, this lasted around 10 minutes then it seemed to get too smooth to put into first compared to normal.

- Engine (i think) made a weird noise when going around 20MPH, this happened at the time the other issues started

- Engine temperature started to rise gradually, roughly one point every minute or so, it's not my fan because this is working, but when i opened the bonnet the temperature went down again because of this cold weather.

- I'm not sure if it is me being a knob but the car seems to be lacking a little power but not a lot.

- Last one i promise ... Acceleration isn't instant when pressing the gas, it has a lot of leeway between being fully up, and to the point of starting to rev. Not sure if this just means something needs adjusting.

sounds like clutch plate drag on the motion shaft
ie clutch plate teeth not disengaging sweetly on the shaft when release bearing is moved
you could remove the bung on top of the gearbox and lightly carefully oil the shaft if it is this,ive done this succesfully on a few puntos dont go mad though or you will oil the plate
or get a local guys opinion if unsure its this

of course it might just be your clutch is worned out

Juddering + EML and juddering when stationary is sounds like a good old fashioned Misfire to me

Spark plugs check - clean regap - spark presence - refit
Coil pack check

and report back

There are 2 way to fix cars

A - throw parts willy nilly at it in hopes to sort it

B - Spend time diagnosing, findout why something isn't working and following it back
Getting the only needed parts and getting it running

It could a HT lead has died
Could be a spark plug
Or the beloved coil packs

Worst case the ECU... (DUN DUN DUN!!!) eitherway Diagnose then FIX

Think i may be able to rule out spark plugs, had a major service not long ago which included a full change, unless they can get ruined that quickly..

Some of the symptoms -- low rev misfire, engine temp rising even when fan is on -- could be HG failure (or fubar thermostat). Compression test.

Easy check for leads, remove air filter so you can see the leads, start car in dark, look for blue flashes from the leads.

or a dead plug

or a dying engine (compression misfire)

To test Swap a plug and lead over from cyl if you can see if the fault moves or stays put

If the fault mvoes - its a plug/lead issue
If it doesn't could be a half dead coil or a compression / injection issue

What does the fault code transpire as?

It's got an MOT on Thursday so i'm letting them check it out, they suspect it's the coils

Fault codes were:

P1135
P0300
P0302

My old Sei once popped up 7 or 8 errors. FIAT wanted £150 for "further investigation". The start it up in the dark, look for blue flashes test showed the error -- plug leads..............

Might not be so in your case, but...........

Yep.

One fault will trigger others. So, for example, a misfire on one cylinder will cause the error for that cylinder, then the first lambda, then the second and............

p0300 - multi / random misfires detected

p0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire detected

P1135 - No generic code meaning (manufactor specific)
