First off sorry if this question has been hammered, have tried to search but haven't found the answer.

I'm having some problems running the Rca and remote wires from the head unit down to the side of the car.

What holes am i supposed to be aiming for and do i need to remove any panels to get it through?

This should be pretty straight forward, you only need run the remote and rca from the back of the head unit then down the side (driver side) then to the boot, it can be a little tricky feeding the two cables from the back of the stereo.

When you have the stereo out on your right at the back there should be little gap where you can shove the two cables down, and the two wires should end up near your pedals what I did to make it easy for myself was tape the rca and remote together then feed them down. If you don't see the cables then get where the pedals are on the left put your hand up there to feel for the cables and gently pull them down. Once you've done that it's pretty straight forward :)

Hope this helps.

Ok managed to get everything wired in, the Rca's kept getting stuck so that was my problem.

Thanks for the help :)

PS i still have the factory sub installed, should i just leave it in or take it out?

If it was me I'd keep it in more bass the better :p though I don't know what the factory sub sounds like, is it any good?
If you'd have asked me that a few hours ago i would have said yes, but i just put a Vibe Cbr 12 in there and it makes the factory one sound crap

Cant really answer that tbh im not too hot on audio, i bought it second hand and first impressions were good, its pretty solid and was easy enough to wire up so i guess so :)

+ it shakes the car so its good enough for me

ahhh yes two boom boxes that sounds nice, hope you have heavy enough cable to drive them:)

He, he, he..... (in an old wheezy man way)
I remember my two 15" pioneer subs, power caps and 1000w Kenwood amp days. My 205 Gti hopped down the road. I only used the engine as a generator. Lol.
Good for you my lad, now, go get a custom install...
Ta

Ok so a few more problems i guess. Thismorning i woke up to a dead punto, not even the clock was working. The remote wire is in but obviously not working, any ideas?

A dead punto? Does it start? Now I can't really tell you cause you have a Vibe subwoofer but on mine when the sub has power a LED lights up which is green, wherever yours has that feature I suggest checking you got power going to the sub. Make sure there are no loose connections or trapped/split wires, mine did this a while back but it was the RCA cables the original ones that came with it that died down to normal wear & tear. Replaced those and it worked like a beauty, so do the following I suggested and report back :)

Just charged the battery a bit, subs working but the led isnt. it sounds like the sub is turning on and ofd with the radio but havent got time to check the wiring i guess ill have to just wait and see if it does it again

More than likely just went flat, its only been sitting for like 2 days which seems odd. Gave it a good run and hopefully it will be ok now

Ok so its definitely draining, didnt last overnight everything seems to be set up properly though
