When i press the accelerator my car makes a really loud race car type noise, i think it maybe exhause box's need replacing or are loose or somthing? Does that sound about right to anyone and if so does anyone know how much it would cost to fix or replace them? thanks

its usually the front flexi hose bit breaks just behind the cat
it costs £22 trade plus lets say £30 fitting
should certainly be less than £60 all in unless your rear box section falls to bits when they split them so you would need all the exhaust from the cat back then

I a few years ago £100 for a Center box and pipe for my punto
But it was replaced that many times by the company it was unreal
(btw they were rubbish and have lost my business)

The 8v engines DONT need a centre box, just a centre pipe (much more reliable btw!)

I replaced mine for £30 + £2 - 4 of Exhaust putty

The back box was also about £30ish quid

Check the exhaust rubbers, if they perish or break the exhaust starts to swing around and start vibrating and banging against the body and rear beam
