Hi iv got a punto 1.2 8v on a 51 plate and its misfire coming up with p0300 random muliple misfire and the odd time comes up with p0302
It all started when i had my timing belt done but i thought it was all down to my lambda sensor going as my cat had been blowing for some time so the next day i replaced the whole exhurst cat aswell, replaced the lambda sensor.
Then it seemed a little better but still a slight misfire so i relaced the spark plugs, replaced the coild packs but only have a new ECU and coil pack 2 years ago but change the coils anyway.
Then that dint work so checked all HT leads pulled them out one at a time and misfire was worst after pulling each one out and the HT leads was sparking fine.
So i thought it might of been the injectors so iv just replaced them and still doing the same also put a new throutall body on
So am abit stuck and need help only thing i can think of is inlet manifold but can not hear any leaks

do you think so i thought that timing belt would not have anything todo with P0300 i thought it was something todo with fual and air, it only does it when its at high revs but can here a slight misfire at all times.
i dint do the timing belt a garage did it because i dont have a clue about timing belts do you think i should take it back and tell them

EML flashing @ over 3k and "generic misfire" error after a cambelt change will likely be the garage not resetting the self-adaptive parameters and performing the phonic wheel learn procedure.

Get them to re-check the timing and carry out the relearn FOC as they haven't finished the job! After that, see if it continues to play up.

Yes i do
If car was running fine before and after cambelt change is throwing all this errors there must be a reason
I had an alfa v6 and i set the timing wrong by 2 teeth and when i read ecu there was all sorts of faults on it
Various sensors faults, maf, knock, cam, cranck etc etc which were all new as engine was been rebuild. Car would not rev past 5000 rpm and them my mate help me putting cambelt at right timing and all problems were gone!
