got a 2000reg 1.2 16v that has decided not to run anymore has been running fine with a few niggles here and there.
the keycode light comes on and stays on the eml flashes once.
i have read all post relating to non starting problems and tried everything i can think of and all that has been suggested.
the story goes went shopping car running fine parked up did shopping come back and wont star turns over seems to me the key not letting immo off.
have changed key and barrel and ecu for known working one but do i also need the body control unit behind internal fusebox.
have read it with fiatecuscan 3.5 with the following codes

U1600 electronic key / mini crypt
U1600 can line
C1012 vehicle speed (from can)
C1013 alternator status (from Can)
B1003 transponder or secret key incorrect
B1009 side light

last one strange as no side lights are out
Can i persume from from the above that the can line controls the immo therefore there maybe a break in the line.
i have take all units out ecu/tcm both fuse boxes and the body control unit.
the body control unit looks like it may have had some water ingress
i have checked all earths all plugs and there sockets all seem fine.

please help it getting to the piont that it might get the swanvesta treatmeant

yeah you need the body computer and engine ecu to match the lockset.

if its looking like theres water in it then its a 99% chance its fubar.

obviously before you fit anything else check where the water is coming from, theres a few fiat bulletins on it but we just used to take out the dash and seal up the bulkheads in the top corners.

make sure your scuttle drains arent blocked too, i always cut the ends off them so theyve got a bigger drain hole.
