my car is a 2003 5000000edition mk2 1.2 8v cam sensor engine punto

what i am wanting to do find and replace

a used low mileage 1.2 8v cam sensor engine
and a used low mileage 5speed gearbox

secondly i want to just get a bit more lift out of the car
now i have been doing loads of research and asking around and i am trying to get definitive answers on the parts i would like to buy for what i think would make a difference not a big difference im not looking a huge increase in power just a more lively response

punto 75 (866) camshaft i already own one of these should i invest in a pipercam vernier pulley to go with it

punto 75 exhaust manifold and exhaust system( now what i was thinking was this is a 4-2-1 i could buy a brand new stainless steel 4-2-1 by sportex money is not an issue and the sportex is compatible with the lambda sensors so i thought the sportex would be the better choice

now i was considering buying a used flywheel and paying someone to lighten it for me what is the ideal weight to go for?

lastly i was going to fit ngk spark plugs and magnecor ht leads

these are the things i am wanting to do and i dont want to start spending money unless i can find out will they actually work lol if i am missing anything that could give the car a better response i would love to know

cheers guys:slayer:

You keep asking the same questions -- so you'll keep getting the same answers!

But -- a vernier pulley will only help if you can time it in (and preferably do it on the RR). The chances are that a P75 mani will be cheaper than a SuperSprint. It's true, it'll have one lambda boss. Weld another one on.

Talk to Brooky re your flywheel.

A backbox is pretty much beside the point. You need a cat and, ideally, a full exhaust.

Think about what you're doing and do some reading.

Realise that you could buy a fairly good Alfa 155 or an MR2 for the money you're going to spend. Either will leave what's still going to a pretty ordinary Punto (there are plenty of Cinqs that would eat it for breakfast and spit out the excess fat) for dead -- maybe -- with classic insurance -- even be cheaper to insure.
