Hello,

At my recent coolant renewal, I was unfortunate enough to apply too much force when making the bleed screw tight on the hose pipe (the smaller one on the 4-way hose mounting, not the radiator one). The small plastic screw broke into two, and the threaded part is now stuck inside. First, I'm looking for the best ways for removing the broken part, so that I can replace it. I hope that anyone here had the same problem before, and can give me advice on this one.

As it's plastic, first thing that came into mind was drilling into the stuck piece with small bits, and then removing the shredded pieces using a pair of tweezers. Any other ideas?

Also, I'm accepting offers into PM for just the plastic bleed screw for a 2000 Punto Mk2 1.2 8V.

Thanks,
Vilmos

Try a small drill bit into it about 1/2 way and then use an easy out to get it out, a left handed drill bit may get it out.
