Re: Strange Overheating

That connector is supposed to go to nowhere. It's the old 3-pin diagnostics connector if I'm not mistaken. Got one in mine as well.

Re: Strange Overheating

Sounds crazy, but to me it looks like one of the two coil pack power inputs, only if it's an 8v.
If it was the coil pack feed surely it wouldn't run?
Only a thought.

Still they left the connector there. Don't ask me why. Never seen a 188 without them, from what I recall.

Re: Strange Overheating

I've had a really good look as I was sorting the inner CV boot out today, looks like it leads to nowhere. Everything appears to be working, Air bag light is on due to a know fault with the harness, that's on my list. Other than that I think it's going to remain disconnected.

I've attempted to look at the wiring diagram and refer to the coloured wires, still didn't get anywhere. Here's a few images showing location on the loom, length, a clip which I assume holds the cable and the fact it already has a kink which would make me assume it's been connected to something in the past.

Re: Strange Overheating

Reverse switch is attached, on the other side it's the Speedo sensor which is working.
