I am trying to work out if my car has had a cam belt change.

One of the receipts with the service history with the car is for work carried out at the local FIAT dealer in FEB 2004.

the work totals £154.35. It isn't clear what was done other than it says

" 0046756802 replaced by 0055191322 - £135.64
0046756613 collar £12.00"

Any idea if this could be a Cam belt change? The car had done about 53k at this point??? - I would really like to know as I would want to replace it if it wasn't as it would be due a change soon anyway. ( 57k on the clock).

if that work was done at fiat that seems a bit to cheap for them lol

i dont know what car you have but on mk2 punto cambelt is not changed at service time untill 72k miles lil high if you ask me. think lots get it done sooner.

also i cant think what a collar is with regards to a cambelt.

i reckon he has hgt as its in his username
i would also do a cambelt on a 16v at least every 50k miles regardless of what the makers say

lol dave good point about the user name dint notice that. yeah my car has done 55k now no warranty left so dot have to use fiat anymore at last lol . so gonan get cambelt done on next service in july

0046756802 is the back box on the exhaust, the collar is the joining piece between it and the next section.

Dunno wherabouts in the world you are but Powerfiat in Basildon do the HGT cambelt for £129.

If the belt in question does not have a Fiat logo on it, it's probably been changed.Just a little tip I picked up somewhere within this forum.Having cam belt problems myself at the moment,
