I've been asked to get hold of a radiator fan for a friends daughters Mk2 Punto. New Valeo ones are £45 plus VAT.

Are they easy enough to remove/refit?

I did the bonnet cable last week on it and that was an arse of a job! And yes I replaced the bonnet catch too cos that had seized...

Oh and its had a new sump and oil pick-up cos that cracked when I took the sump off. The sump was £25 and the pick-up was £22.

piece of cake, i changed my rad the other day that involved taking the fan off, was quite easy just a case of bolt off, bolt on, not forgetting to unplug the electrical bits first

just make sure the plug fits the new fan and as said yes they fit just a little struggly
remember to put lots of duck oil on the top retaining nut to front panel before you start as they often seize
i get the heat gun out if they do and melt them off

i think the hardest part of this is the plug... only 4 bolts and a plug haha

Make sure you get the right one though. There's a difference between A/C and no A/C.
