I bought brand new radio/CD/MP3 player :) now i am in total lack of experience of installing such things.

On the radio diagram it say's that (beside the speaker wires) there are 3 power suply wires. One +10 A (red) One - and One +1 A. Now when i removed the old stereo on my car (that was disconnected from all wires from day 1 when i got my car btw) i noticed 8 wires for the speakers (2 in front and 2 in back) properly makrked and 2 other Red and White with no markings. I am confused as i expected 3 of them.

Btw its Punto MK2 y2000

Any sugesstion or point in right direction?

i think that that conenctor was cutted off buy the previous owner :p all i got is wires naked and coloured :D

as much as i could put hand in there no they are not there and if they are it will be very hard to get them up unless removing the dash oh my head hurts now

thats gooing to be a tough one dude. i assume all the wires you ahve there are the normal wires but with the iso plastic block cut off. what i woudl recommend to make it a bit easier is to go to scrap yard and cut a iso block from mk2 punto leaving about 2 inches of the wires sticking out. then you can match them up and join with bullet conenctors or spade connecters.

least then you will be back to normal.

think if all the wires are still there then there shoul dbe about 15 wires

Get hold of an ISO connector cause otherwise it could be messy :) Alternitively you can get a multimeter, connect the ground of the meter to a bare part of your car and check which of the 2 remaining wires is the permanent 12v and the ignition 12v. For ground just a cable bolted to a bare metal part on the car.

i will take the car to car audio service they told me they will charge 15 $ no matter how much the wires are messed up, hope they will fix it.

I was look at such connectors in Halford - they go for almost £30 a time

For that money it might be worth buying a cheap Car Radio that comes with the connectors

The problem is that even if he buys a cheap radio he will still be missing the connectors from the car's side.

Anyway 15$ is not to much so better if he leaves it to experienced ppl.

Most car systems however will come with an adaptor right? I know both of mine did and if it's been cut fromthe drivers side he's got hassles either way!

BTW why are all these prices in Dollars?

pros have looked at the car and they will install it this afternoon for 15$ at least i wouldn't worry if i did it right. Also they said that they can provide additional amp instalation (power + signal line) for another 10$ so of total 25$ i will have my car ready for every audio part i whant to install. They said that 2 wires has fallen back in the dash, so it will be tricky to do it but they can handle it.

Thanks for all the help. Appreciate it.

P.S. I will post some pics of the new stereo its cd/mp3 when its ready. :p

Yes, that is exactly the problem, it was CUT from the driver's side.

Cars with wires still intact will have the iso connectors no problem (unless a really old car comes up, those are real fun to wire up :) )

wohoo sorted it out finally. Now i can play mp3's i have 2 6x9" Power acoustik 2x150w in the back, in front doors i installed 13 cm KENWOOD KFC-PSR- 137C 2x160w and in one week my Blaupunkt 400 w (max bridged) amp is arriving (waiting for delivery from Germany) and i have JBL tube woofer 500w max. I also have Helix Woofer but unfortunately the box doesen't fit in my punto trunk :( I will stop here for now maybe in future something more who knows.
