im having trouble finding a front left abs sensor for my punto, i was wondering if a rear left abs sensor would work on the front wheel?

Its unlikely but if you can get one for minimal cash and dont have to cut or modify anything to fit it then give it a go.

If your fitting it yourself,make sure you put some grease on the sensor.I used copper grease.they are a tight fit!

Copper grease can disrupt the readings- a normal white grease is better (and used sparingly and not near the sensing end).

@Siadz you got lucky.

Copper grease is an anti seize paste its conductive and has minimal water sealing abilities.

On electrical connectors use silicone grease or vaseline/white grease on the seals only.

Also never use copper grease on moving bearings/bushes as they will soon be worn out.

The cheap stuff like Comma is mostly cheap grease with a few copper hack saw filings added. Its not much good for anti seize and cant be used for lubrication. The better stuff with 40% or 50% solids from motor factors and fasteners suppliers is still cheap.
