Hi all,

My car started juddering on idle and low revs yesterday, the engine management light started flashing and a lot of the power was lost.

Read up on here and it seems pretty common.

Had the RAC out and they found it to be a pin size hole in one of the HT leads, wrapped some insulation tape around it and the problem was gone.

Obviously only a temp solution until I get new leads but thought it may help someone else if they get this problem.

The laptop he plugged in read the code PO325 which was some kind of sensor but it was obviously the leads causing the sensor to read wrong and there was nothing wrong with it.

Unburnt fuel from a missfire will affect the lambda sensor and catalyst. New spark plug leads and plugs (if they are old) will fix the problem.

However PO325 is the knock sensor which retards spark timing to avoid pre-ignition (pinking). It might be related to the faulty spark leads. Fix the leads and see how it behaves.

Google is a great way to find the code meanings e.g.
