Hi,

I need new front shock absorbers for my mk1 sporting 16v. I was always under the impression that it uses the same suspension as the gt? Gt ones seem to be easier to find, but just wanted to check first. Also has anybody had any experience of Delphi shocks?

yes mate they are the same. iv just changed mine to the gmax -60mm shocks and springs. i would recommend this if your looking to upgrade

Thanks Ash. Just looking for direct replacements, as the ones on the car were found to be leaking oil quite badly when the car was on the lift having the exhaust replaced. Fair play to you for having a 60mm drop. I find the ride hard enough as it is... I must be getting old!
