I have a Fiat Punto 53 plate 1.2 8 valve
My car is a very poor runner, she is very jumpy and splutters all the time, i first put it into the garage and they told me it was water inthe petrol, they drained this and yes she went for a wee while without bother then gradually she begins to stutter until you have no power and she jumps constantly. I have never seen the engine management light on
On Saturday after having the fuel tank drained again with water in the fuel I set off on a small journey - did not get even 20 miles and she was as bad as ever - called the AA - the mechanic told me he thought the coil pack needed changing but the garage has done that this morning but she is still the same as ever - please has anyone any suggestions as this is costing me a fortune with garage bills

If the same plugs are not failing to spark even with the new coil this would be a sign the ECU is failing. They can be repaired for about £100.
