Now, theres been a few posts recently about power steering failures.. and so out of curiousity I thought I would have a look at an up to date parts catalogue.
Parts Diagram below,
can anybody identify part number 2?
Described as, KIT SERVOSTEERING.. which isnt too accurate as the motor and top half of the column is also described as that.
Its around £50, and weighs 120grams
Can anybody confirm, if its likely to be anything else?
3 is obviously the lower shaft with universal joint
6 is a replacement top half with the gearbox
1 is the motor
4 is the electronic module
5 is the handle to raise it up and down
