The yellow engine warning light is lit constantly on my cay a fiat punto 1.2 8v and although the engine seems to be smooth its sounds like the the exhaust is blowing type of noise and there is a smell of fuel
i've noticed the heater matrix was leaking and have changed this and also one of the ignition leads was faulty so i've replaced all four but still the car is running rough.
when you put your foot down on the accelrator the engine splutters before slowly reaching the revs
could it be the head gasket ?
