Just a quick ask as I am sure someone viewing will know. The cam belt tensioner on my 1.2 8 valve punto let go yesterday. I am pretty sure these are a safe engine but wondered if any one knows for definate.
Had a "hair raising" tow back home last night through Manchesters rush hour so apologies to all those who had to guess which way we were going !!

it wont have done no damage it is safe it it goes, will not damage engine
 
Thanks for that.

I will be out in the snow later then putting it all back together.
With a bit of luck the temperiture might climb into the positve numbers :)
