Hi

Ok so i've got a 53 plate active sport 1.2 16v

a few weeks ago it was miss firing, so i changed the plugs, didnt work, changed the HT leads and this sorted the problem, at the same time i put a STP cleaning product through it to get rid of the build up of rubbish.

now i was driving along today, and the Fuel Injector Light decides to come on and stay on perminantly .. however i have noticed no loss of power or performance what so ever. was just wondering if anyone had any ideas what it could be?

It just means something in the engine has gone out of its set parameter. Indicating that the emmisions are wrong. It could be a sensor, like a lamda sensor.

They often go off when you turn the ignition on and off, if it stays on for a period of time or keeps going on and off then you need to start looking more closely at what's causing the problem.

Clean your TB and see what that does, if you search the threads you have the same problem that I had.
