I have a 2000 mk2 Punto.

Recently a symbol has come up on the dash of a orange light bulb. This comes up when the brake is being pressed.

I first thought it was a brake bulb going but they are all working fine, then i thought it may be the brake fluid, but this is just below the max.

Can anyone help as i am running out of ideas.

Thanks

Excellent
thanks for the replies.

I did change all the interior bulbs to fancy blue LED's so i will change those back aswell and see if that changes anything

My manual says: orange warning light comes on when there is a missing (!) or blown lightbulb. It also comes on when the blown one is replaced by one with a wrong wattage. The warning light covers the rear lights, brakelights (exept third brakelight) and the rear foglight. If I remember correctly it also covers the licenceplate light but I'm not sure on that.

Manual is wrong maybe we should inform FIAT lol it know for defo it covers sidelights as mine was a dodgy 'tap the light to make it work' job until i changed it but during which time the warning light illuminated.
Not sure about main bulbs but i think it came on when mine went.

Thanks guys

Ill check all the bulbs and get back to you with any feedback

Hi

Just cleared all the battery terminals and all lights are working

How many rear fog lights are there supposed to be?

I have one on the drivers side, but not on the passengers side. Just the reversing light.
