picked up some rain x for my windows, was just wondering if anyone has used this product before and if its really worth using... more so for the windscreen as ive heard mixed opinions that it can smear if u use the wipers (which would still be required as u do quite a bit of city driving). will definitely be using it on the mirrors and side windows, just not so sure about front and back.

havent used rain x but get similar results from car wax - excess from rest of body. :p

To remove it from a surface simply use some "glass cutter", it's a liquid soap type thing which will remove the rain x if you change your mind (y)

a 500ml thing of glass cutter from halfords cost £4.99

means having to pay out more cash though. lol. not a good time for cash flow... car issues, holiday and cat to be snipped all in the same pay cheque. would rather go down the route of not applying it if it aint gunna do any good. lol least its good to know there is easy ways to remove it though.

Rain X is good stuff been using it for years, brill on crash helmet visors to beads rain water away so better vision.(y)

motorway driving, or anything over 40mph really isnt the problem, but reading up on it, some people have claimed its no good at slower speeds, and i live in an area that loves 30mph zones. apparently the water just forms into droplets and stays put meaning u still need the wipers, which as i said before, can cause streaking, again lowering the visibility? its bad enough having water run down my windscreen and into my opened windows when i set off from pools of water settling on my roof from car wax, not sure i want streaks or pools of water as well bugging the hell out of me on my windscreen too.
