hi i just recently got a x plate punto 1.2 8v elx. since i got it ive noticed that the handbrake light stays on, now i know this could be as simple as a faulty sensor (fingers crossed) but i tried to check the brake fluid level, but i can only find one resivoir, and its not were the hand book says it is so i'm thinking its the power streering resivoir. or am i missing something completely as just been looking through hand book again and theres no mention of power steerin resivoir????

The power steering is electric, no pumps or reservoirs for that - just a motor lol

The brake fluid reservoir should be (looking in from the front) just under the windscreen on the left (offside) of the car - a plastic tub basically.

There is only one reservoir which serves brakes and clutch.

Brake pads have a warning wire that touches when they wear right down and the fluid reservoir has a level switch. Get the brakes checked because fluid doesn't just disappear. There may be a leak somewhere and when it blows you'll have no brakes.

Also worth checking the handbrake isn't slightly sticking up, this could be causing the sensor to stay on, but the above is rather imporant to check as well.
