Right new to this forum and recently bought a black mk2 punto, I'm in the process of modifiying it.

I'm trying to keep things subtle.

My car looks crap compared to most of you guys but I'm trying lol

Mods so far

Lowered 50mm
15" alloys
Full stealth exhuast system (I have my tailpipe hidden as I think it would have looked crap on my car with a big tailpipe)
Induction kit
De badged rear
Tinted rear lights
Tinted side repeaters
Removed side strips

To do

Smooth bonnet
Re-map ecu
Upgrade discs and pads
Colour code bumpers
Colour code wing mirrors
Colour code door handles

Taken a few pics, unfortunately no before shots

I've got a pic just after my car was lowered, as you'll see the lights were still standard.

Then got a pic of side showing no side strips

Then a pic of tinted side repeater

And finally a pic of my rear tinted lights

I think the bumpers colour coded will make a huge difference to the look of the car.

I will take more pics another time.

Yeah I cleaned it a couple of days ago and it's filthy, I always seem to clean it before it rains :bang: lol

Thanks, they are only p.i springs, I know not the best but I just wanted it lowered as quick as possible.

I got wheels, exhuast, induction kit and lowered on same day and maxed my budget.

If I had got a full suspension kit I would have had to sacrifice something else on the day, so thought I'd rather have cheapish springs to get me started.

I will be getting a full suspension kit though with uprated shocks etc

mate i absolutly love them alloys, i love 5 split spoke alooys, what are they called??

cheers mate, oh and btw let me know wen you want them side strips mate(y)

Not sure what the exact name of the wheels are lol, I could find out though

I defo want the strips, just in two minds whether I want them colour coded or not.

How much for them if they aren't colour coded?

A few people might wonder why I want strips when I removed them, well the owner before me had drilled screws into the strips so I'm left with some nice holes on the body work :(

Not noticeable from far but up close you can see, and because I know they're there it bugs the hell out of me.

I ain't got a clue why they drilled holes and put screws in as there was adhesive too

I also wanted captain mikes smoothed bonnet too, I posted on the for sale thread but no reply.

I went to a body shop today and was quoted 300 quid, I'm defo gonna shop about though as that is a rip-off.

Yeah I think the name is on the receipt, I'll try and find the receipt and let you know.

Yeah it was just a local bodyshop and I think he was trying to rip me off lol

I'm half tempted to get a plain black sunstrip put on my car, would that look crap? lol

edit: Found the name the wheels are wolfrace triad black polished.

Well I decided to get a sunstrip on my car but got a window tinting place to do it using tints.

Not the best picture but I'm crap at pictures (n)

I'll try and take one later.

And not sure whether this thread should be here or members motors

If one was to take off the door card, locate the holes, use fibreglass and resin to fill, u pol or isopon on the other side, smooth down and paint ova, thats problem sorted (y)

I couldn't do that myself, ideally I need to find a decent bodyshop.

And at the same time I could get de-locked, boot smoothed, de-wipered etc

im liking the car mate also i no thay are p.i spring you got ther just wondering wot drop thay are also i not really liking the sun strip tho but it you car so it wot you like ay....good job keep it up......(y)

Looking really good mate, I like the dark, stealth approach. Not a big fan on the sunstrip either, a personal preference would be to see a slight tint to the front window as oppossed to sun strip.

Do you get away with the rear lights being as dark as they are? (Or is it just the picture that mkes it look so dark...)

Cheers, the sunstrip is actually tinted, I got it done at a window tinting place, I don't like it, I've actually done it for the sun, and it's great, I can actually look at the sun through it :D

I used to hate driving round a corner get blinded and having to reach for the visor.

The lights are dark, from far it looks like I have no lights lol, I haven't had any trouble at all.....yet

same project pal just bought mine slowly doing it up........
