Hi there,

I need to remove the rear wiper arm from my Punto, because I am replacing the rear wiper motor with a new one.
However, because I cannot remove the motor without removing the wiper arm first I am stuck.
If anyone has any ideas on how to remove the wiper arm then please post a reply to this thread.

Regards

Donn :)

Oh, and welcome to the forum. :)

Thanks for all the info, and I will see where the plastic cover flips up, because I have yet to see where the cover flips up revealing the nut.

Hi there again,

I still can't see anything, maybe I'm missing something. At the base of the wiper there is a round plastic cover, but I can't seem to flip it up, as the thing won't move.
I've tried everything I can think off, and still the thing won't budge. I would welcome any other ideas.

Regards

Donn

it just flips open from the bottom, see pics i just took.

Thanks to Binki for the info - I have now managed to change the rear wiper on my fiat punto - why have fiat made it so difficult (and expensive) to change the rear wiper when the front ones can be bought anywhere cheaply - I had to send to Lancashire for mine and I live in the Scottish Borders.

eh.. this is realy an easy job:D..& it looks like you,re going to stuggle later on with things that have to done... & they will .the old mk1 will throw up a few surprises;)....ah well its only easy when you know the answer:D

just thought but if it was just the rubber you required changing, you didn,t need to remove anything...just a case of taking old rubber out, cut new rubber to size[off any wiper blade] then slip back the rubber into blade....simple:D(y)

ah, just read the first post proparly:).. wiper motor:)..never the less some people change the whole wiper assembly when its not needed:confused:

jings i,m getting old & stupid, just noticed date on first post 2005...oh dear
