Hi,
Any advice on the following would be much appreciated.Wife has a MkII that has had to have HG done. It didn't show any overheating signs on the dash etc before the HG went. When it came back from HG work, the oil light still came on at low revs, which we were told was the oil pressure as the oil had been replaced etc.It was used for a couple of days, and the oil light came on proper, and stick showed barely any oil, and there is no obvious sign of leak.Any ideas where all the oil has gone/is going?
Have used the guy who did the work for years and he does a good job, but even he sounds confused by it.Was hoping someone here might have an idea before it goes back into him.
Many Thanks

Oil can only be burned, leaked or transferred, if there are no plumes of blue smoke like the Red Arrows are flying alongside you then you should see oil deposited on the floor where the car is regularly parked up. If not, then check the coolant system, see if the level has or is rising where oil is going into the cooling jacket & reservoir.
