Technical what type of coolant?

Technical what type of coolant?

You would be better with the specified coolant, paraflu, although any that will do for alloys engines will do.

However, it will not solve leakage issues.

Head gasket failure is usually a consequence of some other failure of a cooling component.

Have you identified the leak?

Its possible the air bubbles got pushed through causing the coolant level to drop.

It all sounds good but leaks don't fix themselves. You need to be 100% sure its all solid or that head gasket wont last long. They usually fail because the "water" level has dropped. Go over everything really carefully if necessary loosen pipes at high level to see if coolant comes out.

When its all checked out, you MUST put proper coolant in and properly rebleed the pipes. Don't leave it because iron and aluminium react; leading to corroded galleries, blocked rads and another blown head gasket quicker than you'd expect.
