Ive recently bought an OBD II scanner to help diagnose steering problems with my 2001 punto HGT Abarth. Having read many threads within this forum, loss of steering is a common fault and thanks to the advice of many I think I can tackle changing out the column if required. however, I'd really like to be able to verify / understand any codes that I find. Two known faults are:- P1702 and P1536 , which are " manufacture's codes"
Having searched for many hours on the net I can't find a single site that provides Fiat code definitions.
so if any member can help, with the location of such a site, or tell me which codes to expect for total loss of power steering I'd be very appreciative.
